The Tectonix team have been working closely with The Earthquake Commission (EQC) and the Canterbury homeowners over the past several years to date working on earthquake-damage assessment and repair of residential houses affected by the recent earthquakes. This includes houses affected by the Canterbury Earthquake Sequence (2010-2011) and the Kaikoura Earthquake (2016). This involves extensive site investigations and detailed levels and verticality measurements of the structural components of a house. This often requires close coordination with other engineering disciplines and with EQC and the homeowner. The Tectonix team had successfully completed hundreds of these houses to date and still ongoing.
